Hannah was born on 9 January 1833 in Morgan County, Indiana.^{[1][2][3][4][5]}

Family

Hannah was the daughter of Henry Mills and Hannah (Woodward) Mills. She was the youngest child of a family of eleven - 5 sons and 6 daughters.

Marriage

Hannah married Isaac S Poe on 11 August 1855 in Monrovia, Morgan County, Indaina.^[6] They raised a family of 6 sons and 1 daughter in Morgan and Hamilton Counties, Indiana. After the Civil War, the family moved first to Humboldt, Richardson County, Nebraska and then to Norton, Norton County, Kansas.
