Yes, it would appear that they are the same ancestor. My records show he married 1. Martha BARHAM then 2.. Catherine MORGAN. Richard died in 1848 per his will of, etc. Richard's will was on a microfilm, and at one time I had a hard copy of it. Since have lost in moving, several times. Richard's birth and baptism records were found by me, back before 1993, on a microfiche, at the LDS FHL Library center, again at one time, I had a hard copy of that page, again, lost in moving. I do not know if they have digitized those microfiche records and if they are available for research via the Internet? Y DNA testing has been done on his descendant, my brother, a MILLS by birth. Can see those markers snp's, etc. on the FTDNA web site, On the MILLS Y DNA Public Chart - Haplo Group I (eye) 2 a, and STR as P37.2.. There are presently 7 males who all match each other, save one or two, on adjacent markers, are one up and one down, in count difference, I was told way back then, ca 2005, by one of Y DNA help desk, that because they are in the "purple" area, does not mean any thing, big. At the original match in 2004, he only matched to 3 others. John MILLS, of Sussex CO NJ B; ca 1733 and Abraham MILLS of Charlotteville, ON CAN, and Lewis MILLS of N.J. Since the other 3 present day male MILLS, who have tested and shared their paper trail, with those MILLS researchers. The area of convergence seems to be of in and around Elizabethtown, Essex/Union County, New Jersey. Patricia MILLS-FISCHER - [email address removed] If you know of any who are MILLS by birth and they are curious to know which is their MILLS paternal line of descent, a Y DNA test does sort us all out nicely, (Males, that is.)
