Biography

John Williams married, as his second wife, Margaret Metcalfe on 24 Aug 1741 in Lebanon and they had the following children, first one in Lebanon,^[1] the others in Sharon^[2].

• John, b. 25 May 1742, died 29 June 1761 at New Haven, in his 19th year.^[3]
• Solomon, b. 25 Feb 1744, died 6 May 1745
• William, b. 14 Apr 1746, died two days later
• William, b. 21 Mar 1747
• Asahel, b. 29 Mar 1749
• Margaret, b. 6 May 1752 (another record says she was the daughter of other parents)
• Hannah, b. 29 Jan 1754, m. Abel Belknap
• Samuel, b. 29 Dec 1758

Margaret Metcalf Williams, widow of John, died in Sharon on 15 Feb, 1795, in her 89th year.^[4]
