Biography
Lucy was born in 1871. Her first child, Will King, was born one year before Lucy & John King were married.[1] She died at just 34 years old, and only one year before her young daughter, Ophelia King, died at age 4. Lucy was buried in the Merritt family cemetery just outside Chapel Hill, Orange County, North Carolina.[2]
