Maternal line mitochondrial DNA test-takers:
Elizabeth Mead is my maternal line. I have done the Full Mitochondrial Sequencing. One exact match to this sequence also descends from Elizabeth Godfrey Bunker. Another exact match has a maternal line going back to Ely, Cambridgeshire, England in 1600 - same neighborhood as Cardington. Would be nice to find the connection but the ancestry.com trees suggesting parents of Elizabeth Mead are unsupported.
Alec, you need to post on the G2G forum with regard to your father. I don't see you show any parents for him. Do you not know them, or is it that you haven't yet entered them into Wikitree? You need to work on entering your ancestors, being sure to list your sources for the information.
Hi everyone, I am overwhelmed with the information you lovely people are providing, but being somewhat of a novice at this, I'm not sure how to link these 'matches' to my father, Leonard Alfred Mead. Whilst the fact that you, (collectively), have provided possible matches going back to the 1600's is totally mind blowing, I need to find that, 'link' between my Dad & these possible matches. Can anyone help me there? Thanks - Alec Mead
