Biography

Isaac McQueen was born on 1 May 1892 in New Zealand, son of Isaac McQueen (1867–1939) and Mary Ann Wilson (1869-1947).[1]

Isaac (20) married Effie May Gazzard (22) (born on 2 October 1889 in Rimu, West Coast, New Zealand; daughter of Thomas Edward Gazzard and Henrietta (Dawson) Gazzard) on 22 August 1912 in New Zealand.[2] Their children were:

  1. Eric William McQueen (1 April 1913 – 8 March 1997)
  2. Thomas Stanley McQueen (16 March 1915 – 6 December 1993)
  3. Henrietta May McQueen (9 April 1916 – unknown)
  4. Victor Tasman McQueen (6 March 1918 – 1980)
  5. Vera Frances McQueen (11 February 1920 – 1 November 2009)
  6. Effie May McQueen (14 May 1921 – 14 May 1921)
  7. Bruce Raymond McQueen (11 July 1924 – 28 July 1984)
  8. John Henry McQueen (2 May 1926 – 14 August 2001)
  9. Effie Frances McQueen (12 April 1928 – 22 September 1989)
  10. Norman Leslie McQueen (28 February 1930 – 6 December 1962)

Isaac died on 2 October 1948 in New Zealand, aged 56.[3] Isaac was mentioned on a memorial in Andersons Bay Cemetery, Andersons Bay, Dunedin City, Otago, New Zealand with a death date of 2 October 1948.[4]
