Biography

Thomas Stanley McQueen was born on 16 March 1915 in New Zealand, son of Isaac McQueen (1892–1948) and Effie May Gazzard (1889–1962).[1]

His siblings were:

  7. John Henry McQueen (2 May 1926 – 14 August 2001)
  8. Effie Frances McQueen (12 April 1928 – unknown)
  9. Norman Leslie McQueen (28 February 1930 – 6 December 1962)

Thomas (17) married Irene Phyllis Booth (18) (born in 1914 in New Zealand; daughter of William Addison Booth and Agnes Hester (Erridge) Gibson) on 6 October 1933 in New Zealand.[2] They divorced in 1947.[3]

Thomas (32) married Flora Dardanella Joan Hollamby (31) (born in 1915 in New Zealand; daughter of William Hollamby and Lydia Kate (Loper) Hollamby) on 7 August 1947 in New Zealand.[4]

Thomas died on 6 December 1993 in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, aged 78.[5] He was buried in Andersons Bay Cemetery, Andersons Bay, Dunedin City, Otago.[6]
