Hello, we had a match on GenesisGEDmatch. My kit # is FK3517687. My last name is Dillion, and that's how I found you. I am unable to trace beyond my great great grandfather Dillion. It may be that we are have a connection through another family line and the last name is a coincidence, but I wanted to touch base with you.

Edward -- you recently link a Mary Elizabeth Cox to Thomas Hull-4235 -- please refer to my previous rejection of the Thomas Hull-4503 profile. No credible information exists to link the Thomas Hull in Westmoreland County, PA to Sheriff Isaac Hull and Anne Dunham of NJ. Both Thomas' were apparently born in NJ -- but the one you just added Mrs. Cox to is NOT her husband. The Thomas Hull you are looking for is Thomas Hull-4503 -- and Mrs. Cox is already listed as his wife. The SAR document you reference is known to be inaccurate on the connection between this Thomas and Isaac -- and my DNA results compared with the results of known ancestors of Isaac Hull prove that the lines are not connected.

Edward, thank you very much for taking the Y-DNA test, joining the McFadden Project and listing your kit number here. I have been wondering for a long time if the Crawford County McFaddens had gone north from Washington County PA and were part of my late uncle's line, which goes back to Dr. Samuel McFadden of Cootehill, Cavan, Ireland. The chart at the Project shows that the you (and by inference) the Crawford McFaddens are NOT related and from a different line. Thank you and thanks Wikitree for enabling this type of collaboration and info-sharing.

Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Thank you for being a Wikitreer,

Hi Ed

I'm not a purest on DNA rules, but I try to document as much as I can with sources. Unfortunately, some of my early Gedcom uploads still need additional sources. Eventually, I'll get to them.

Regards,

Doug

Thank you for your response.

Rannachy(ie) is a farm in the parish of Rathven,Banffshire, Scotland. The last Garden to occupy the farm retired in 1950. The John Garden I am enquiring about was married there in 1795. There is no record of his death in the church records.
