Biography

Bervina Lucinda McClung was born on 2 December 1853^{[citation needed]} in Blount, Alabama, United States, daughter of Benjamin Franklin McClung (1829–1906) and Elizabeth Tapp Barry (1827–1904). In 1870 the family was in Wileys Cove Township, Searcy County, Arkansas.^[1]

Bervina married Allen Wayne Sutterfield. Their children were:

1. Ralph Sutterfield
2. Urias J. Sutterfield (1880– ) .
3. Mary A Sutterfield (1884–1905)
4. Marie b. 1887

Research Notes

Researchers are claiming Bervina died in childbirth with the birth of Mary in 1884, but there appears to be another daughter, Marie, born 22 Dec 1887 in Charleston, Mississippi Co., Missouri.^[2] Her husband remarried in 1888. Bervina's children moved with the McClungs to Washita Co, Oklahoma. Marie Sutterfield Owens Haines appears in Oklahoma City in 1940 where she marries Claud G. Haines. BERVENA LUCINDA McCLUNG

The second child of Benjamin Franklin McClung and Elizabeth Tapp Barry was born in 1856 in Searcy CO, AR. She married Wayne Sutterfield the son of Urias Sutterfield and Mary Thompson. Wayne was born 1856 in Searcy County, Arkansas. Bervena died after Jun 1884 in Searcy County, Arkansas and Wayne died in 1938.

Bervena and Wayne had four children. Ralph, Martha Jane, Urias and Mary A. "Polly" 25 Jun 1884
