Biography
Edith was born 3 Nov 1893, in Chelsea, London, England.[1] She was the daughter of Richard Wagner Maude, a clerk at the Crystal Palace in London, and his wife, Edith Cooke (Harris) Maude.
She married Guy Salusbury Hughes, 21 Jul 1910, at St. Giles, London, England. [2] They had one child, Kendrick Herbert Salusbury Hughes (b. 1911).
She moved to Cairo, Egypt in 1922, where she met Major Cyril Ramsay-Hill. They married in October 1924, at St. George Hanover Square, London, England. Soon after, they moved to Kenya.[3]
In Kenya, Edith met the Earl if Erroll in 1926.
The Earl and Countess resided at Oserian in Kenya.
She passed away 13 Oct 1939, in Nairobi, Kenya, due to an accidental overdose of alcohol, heroin, and morphine.
