Biography

Lucia Marino, daughter of the late Leoluca Marino and the living Domenica Sciortino, marries Leoluca Cutrera, son of the late Gaetano Cutrera and innocenza Schifano, on 3 May 1809.[1]

Leoluca and Lucia have at least seven children: Innocenza (c. 1821), Giovanni (c. 1825), Bernardo (c. 1825), Damiano (c. 1825), Domenica (c. 1834), Salvatore (1835), and Pasquale (c. 1839).

Innocenza is born around 1821, based on her age at the birth of one of her children in 1843. She is named after her paternal grandmother.

Giovanni is born around 1825, based on his reported age at death.

Bernardo and Damiano are confirmed in November 1829. Bernardo's sponsor is Giuseppe Valenti.[2] Damiano's sponsor is Giuseppe Nuccio.[3]

Domenica is born around 1834, based on her reported age at death.

Salvatore is born 15 April 1835 and baptized three days later. His godparents are Michaelangelo and Anna Governali, a married couple.[4]

Pasquale is born around 1839, based on his reported age at death.

Innocenza marries Antonio Navarra around 4 December 1856.[5]

Salvatore marries Maria Carmela Gennaro on 24 October 1859. Leoluca has died by this time.[6]

Pasquale dies at age 62 (b. 1839) on 31 August 1901. His wife, Angela Comparetto, survives him. Lucia has died by this time.[7]

Domenica dies at age 70 (b. 1834) on 9 February 1904. There is no mention of her having ever married.[8]

Giovanni dies at age 82 (b. 1825) on 6 April 1907. His wife, Anna Maria Provenzano, survives him.[9]
