Antonino Marino was born in 1822 to Vincenzo Marino, a field hand, and Anna Mangiaracina [1]. In 1848 at age 25 he married 21-year-old Gaetana Bongiorno [2]; they had at least one child. Antonino died some time after 19 November 1874 [3].
This man may be Antonino Marino-1348. Same age, both married to women with the less common surname of Bongiorno. To watch.
Antonino's birth and marriage records name his mother as Anna Mangiaracina. The parents to which he is attached are Vincenzo Marino and Maria Mangiaracina. I think his mother is Maria, not Anna. [Note: an error in his birth record would have been copied over into his marriage record. Duplication is no guarantor of accuracy.] Reasons: (1) The father, Vincenzo, is the same age, born around 1776, in records relating to Anna as records relating to Maria. Anna and Maria appear to be about the same age also, born in the 1780s, although her age is not consistent. (2) Vincenzo is described as a field hand in both sets of records. A less-common designation that simply 'peasant'.
This isn't enough evidence to nail it, so his parents are being marked 'uncertain'.
