Biography
On 11 November 1893 in Corleone, Francesco Majuri, age 42 (b. 1851), borgese, resident of Corleone, reports the birth on 8 November 1893 in via San Leoluca, #20, to Giovanna Catalinotto, his wife, a housewife, with whom he lives, a baby boy who is presented and named Francesco Paolo.[1] He is baptized on 12 November 1893. His godparents are Biagio and Giovanna Paternostro.[2]
Francesco P. Maiuri and Teresa Gennusa are married on 15 June 1919 at Carmine Church on 115th St in Manhattan before witnesses John Ferrara and Mary Ferrara. Francesco lives at 512 E. 80th St. He is 25 (b. 1894), single, a merchant, born in Corleone, the son of Francesco Maiuri and Giovanna Catalinotto. Teresa lives at the same address. She is 23 (b. 1896), single, born in Corleone, the daughter of Martino Gennusa and Elvira (actually, Oliva Filippa) Rumore. It is the first marriage for them both.[3]
Francesco Paolo's brother, Calogero Maggiore, is a gangster affiliated with Giuseppe Morello.
