On 10 July 1895 in Corleone, Martino Gennusa, age 24 (b. 1871), carpenter (falegname), reports the birth on 8 July in via San Martino, #116, to Oliva Filippa Rumore, his wife, a housewife, with whom he lives, a baby girl who is presented and named Teresa Maria Antonina. Witnesses Giuseppe Coniglio, age 69 (b. 1826), and Matteo Finocchio, age 35 (b. 1860), contadini.^[1]

Teresa Gennusa, born on 8 July 1895 in Corleone, is baptized on 15 July. She is the daughter of Martino Gennusa and Oliva Filippa Rumore. Her godparents are Vincenzo Gagliano and Marianna Ortoleva, a married couple.^[2]

Teresa marries Francesco P. Majuri on 15 June 1919 at Carmine Church on 115th St in Manhattan before witnesses John Ferrara and Mary Ferrara. Francesco lives at 512 E. 80th St. He is 25 (b. 1894), single, a merchant, born in Corleone, the son of Francesco Maiuri and Giovanna Catalinotto. Teresa lives at the same address. She is 23 (b. 1896), single, born in Corleone, the daughter of Martino Gennusa and Elvira (actually, Oliva Filippa) Rumore. It is the first marriage for them both.^[3]
