Other ventures include Oil Painting, participating in various open and selective art shows in the 80s, running a certified organic greenhouse specializing in herbs and heirloom flowers, in the 90s, working as a machinist, an aromatherapy product business and astrological consultation in the first 2 decades of the 21st century. She built two houses with her 1st husband. Never remaining idle, she has many hobbies and skills, ranging from cooking and preserving to art work, needle crafts, and web design.
There are multiple connections to paternal ancestors, John Mack and Sarah Bagley. This is because grandchildren that were cousins married and had offspring that descend to my maternal ancestors. These types of connections make DNA connections show up that appear more closely related than they actually are. This also means that my parents are 7th cousins twice removed. A relationship that distant might not share DNA but they could share 1-3%, depending on what snps are tested (what company preforms the test).

Oh Wow! Nice to meet you cousin Erin. I'll add you to my private database. I see your branch migrated to the south and west, to warmer country. I've never liked cold weather. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Frank. Interesting. We're related on my dad's side. He comes from a family of seven, I come from a family of seven through him. It must run in the genes. ;) He and my step mom had a hard time imagining why I'd want to home school though. You have to like being with your kids to take that on but our ancestors did it as a natural way of life. We are our children's first teachers, after all. Nice to meet you cousin! Thanks for stopping by.
You're welcome, Azure. What a beautiful name. I see we have at least 16 connections. Peasley is on my maternal side and we have even more connections on my paternal side. Nice to meet you cousin. Sure, I'd like to join the Peasley name study.
You're welcome, Asure. It looks like we have at least 16 common ancestors and we connect through even more on my paternal side. Peasley is in my maternal line. Nice to meet you cousin. Sure, I'd like to join the Peasley name study.
Wow, what a surprise! I thought I was tracking down my son's paternal line, not my own. So, it seems you are related to me on my paternal side. What a small world. This is especially interesting because the Reynolds I'm tracing is related to my step-mom's family and my son shares dna with one of them. If I am looking into the right line of Reynolds (yet to be determined) I've noticed some familiar names in the Quaker meetings, from my maternal family, Schooley, Scattergood...You and I have many other connections, one being Alice Coles. That is another surname that married into this Reynolds line. Amazing. One world tree connecting us all together is a real eye opener.
Not late at all, just in time, SJ. Nice to meet you cousin. You brought my attention to the fact that I have a branch in my paternal line that isn't completed in my Gramps database. Thanks for that and for all the work I see you doing here on Wikitree.
Thanks so much for your message Connie. It's great to meet you cousin! I think that is so neat that we're related on both sides. This whole Wiki project is really the best!
I felt it was time to pay more attention to the siblings of my ancestor Elizabeth Pancoast, daughter of John Pancoast. Today I worked on her sister Sarah Pancoast and Sarah's husband Edward Boulton, they were Quakers who lived in Mansfield. I'm ready to create their profiles and document them.
The Quakers left such great records -- I only wish they would have specified "son (or daughter) of xxx and his wife xxx" -- it would make it faster to identify people, when they named their sons the same name and then at times the son died before the father.
Well if the records were always crystal clear, it would not be such fun putting the puzzle pieces together:)

I am the first born to my parents and a member of a large and rich family leading back to Scotland and beyond on the paternal side. Other names in my family are Swinehart, Chaney and Barnes. I hope to offer what information I have as time permits, to 'paint' some 'leaves' on the world tree, while respecting privacy needs and personal rights.

I believe T. Stanton and I are "double cousins" - connected in two lines.

I'll check out the Schooley source you mentioned regarding Samuel. I've been off line for a while - new job and classes.

Have you discovered who raised his daughters, Lydia & Abigail, after his wife Lydia Brainerd died & he moved to Canada?
Thank you for your contribution to the family tree. AKB
