Edward was born in 1881. He was the son of Charles Stent and Emma Jackson. [1]

He married in Eleanor Marguaretta Amadio 1908 [2]

MANAWATU TIMES, VOLUME LXV, ISSUE 534, 8 OCTOBER 1908 The Rev. Geo. Budd also performed a marriage ceremony yesterday between Mr Edward Stent, of Karioi, and Miss Eleanor Amadio, daughter of Mr Amadio, of Derby street. The newly married couple left for New Plymouth, where the honeymoon will be spent.
