Biography

Richard was a Friend (Quaker)

Birthdate unknown; parents married in 1759. Moved with parents from US to Canada.

Richard and Mary Lundy were both natives of Pennsylvania, and came to Canada in 1798, settling in Whitchurch, where they spent the remainder of their lives. They had one son and two daughters:

• Annie, m. Mordecai Widdifield, and settled in Uxbridge, County Ontario;
• Susannah, m. Joseph Hilborn, and located in Western Ontario; and
• Ebenezer.

The family were Quakers in religion, and they established this religion in the area into which they moved.

Richard was born in 1760. He passed away in 1816.
