Served WW2, 2nd NZEF, Private, 24 Infantry Battalion. Captured 22 July, 1942, with 24 Battalion. POW in Stalag VII-C, Sagan, Poland & PG 57, Gruppignano, Udine, Italy.
He settled in Panmure, Auckland after the war. Three children, Susan, Helen & Christopher. He was deafened by an explosion on POW transfer ship, and worked as caretaker at Glen Innes Primary School.
He passed away in of cancer in Auckland Hospital, in 1983.
