Biography

Luciano Lucchese, son of the late Vincenzo Lucchese and Lucia Nicolosi, marries Lucia Pomilla, daughter of the late Nicolo' Pomilla and the living Salvatrice Gambauta (also spelled "Gammanta"), on 11 February 1838.^[1][2]

Luciano and Lucia have at least three children: Angela (c. 1851), Giovanni (1852), and Biagia (c. 1867).

I estimate Angela and Biagia are each around 20 years old at marriage.

Giovanni is born and baptized Joannem on 26 February 1852. His godparents are Gioachino Dragna and Lucia Dragna, who are not married.^[3]

Angela marries Girolamo Mancuso on 10 September 1871.^[4]

Giovanni marries Liboria Grizzaffi on 29 July 1877. His mother and her father have passed away by this time.^[5]

Biagia marries Giovanni Salvatore Mancuso on 4 October 1887. He is Girolamo's brother.^[6][7]

Death

Luciano, a resident of the San Giovan Battista quarter, dies of pneumonia on 24 February 1878 at the reported age of 64 in the Spedale dei Bianchi di Corleone. He is predeceased by his wife and parents.^[8]
