Biography

Jennie (also known as Jane) was born about 1807, the daughter of Cherokees John Lowrey and Runafter McLemore. ^[1]

She married Robert Benge about 1827. They appear on the 1835 Cherokee census living in what is now Walker County, Georgia. ^[2] Robert and Jennie were the parents of eight children, Eliza, Pickens, Sarah, Robert, Mary(Polly), Young, McLemore, and John Riddle.
