When Andrew Douglas Lockard was born on September 7, 1956, in Houston, Texas, his biological father, Elroy, was 26 and his biological mother, Bobbie, was 20. He was immediately given up for adoption shortly after birth and then adopted by William David Lockard and Mary Sue Sheffield Lockard. Doug married Donna Elizabeth Frizen Lockard Lewis Williams and they had three children together; Samuel Douglas, Kimberly Marie and Angela Michelle Lockard. He then married Sharon DeAnne 'Dee' Rozier Lockard on March 14, 1997, in Forsyth, Monroe, Georgia. He had one half brother and half one sister as well as one adopted sister that he grew up with.
