Biography

Vincenzo Listi is born around 1812 in Corleone, the son of Vincenzo Listi and Giuseppa Palazzo, who married in 1806. He is named after his maternal grandfather.

In 1834, Vincenzo Listi, 54 (b. 1780), his wife Giuseppa, 52 (b. 1782), and children Salvatore, 24 (b. 1810), Vincenzo, 22 (b. 1812), Antonina, 15 (b. 1819), Biagia, 13 (b. 1821), and Giovanna, 10 (b. 1824), live in the vanella di Oliva, near the strada di Falangano.^[1]

Vincenzo's brother, Biagio, who does not appear in the 1834 census, is one of the aggressors in a Republican uprising during the cholera epidemic of 1837. He is executed for his crimes.

Vincenzo marries Felicia Billitti, daughter of the late Giuseppe Billitti and the living Bernarda Cutrone, and widow of Salvatore Fratello, on 21 September 1845.^[2]

Vincenzo and Felicia have at least one child, who is also named Vincenzo (c. 1847), after his paternal grandfather.

Vincenzo, the son, marries Giuseppa Governali on 8 September 1877.^[3]
