Marie Poméla [Parmena] Lepage was born and baptized on 12 Nov 1871 in Saint-Jacques de Montcalm, Québec, Canada. She was the daughter of Israël Lepage and his wife Euphémie Moison. Godparents at Parmena's baptism were Jean-Louis Moison, farmer, and Élodie Moison, all of this parish. Parmena married David Gauthier.
