The reading of the charges.
Pierre Lepage set out to March against the King’s militia at Michel Blay’s (Blaise) house. However, he arrived too late. The action was over.
Last fall, the great majority of the parish went to the seditious assembly at Pointe Lévy and afterwards stood guard in this parish fearing the arrival of royal troops. Last spring, they built three signal fires upon the rebels’ orders to warn them of the arrival of ships. They had armed habitants guard these fires.
During the winter, they brought goods to Pointe Lévy and sold them to the rebels. [1]
