On 22nd March 1883, Mary Mc. Lennox (age 13), together with her parents John Linnox (41) & Janet (46) & siblings, Alex (16), John (9), Jessie (7) & Duncan (5), sailed from Glasgow, Scotland on the "Nairnshire" a 961 ton full rigged sailing vessel captained by Captain Peattie, and arrived at the Burnett Heads, Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia on 7th July 1883 after a passage of 107 days. The immigrants were taken aboard the steamer "James Paterson" on 9th July 1883 & landed that day at Bundaberg. [3][4][5][6]
Mary McArthur Lennox died aged 83, on 17th October 1952 [7] in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia & was laid to rest at the Bundaberg General Cemetery on 18th October 1952. [8][9][10]
