Biography

Luca Liggio (often called "Leoluca") is born 5 November 1790 in Corleone and baptized two days later. He is the son of Vincenzo Liggio and Bernarda Grizzaffi. His godparents are his maternal uncle and aunt, Luca and Ignazia Grizzaffi, brother and sister, both unmarried.[1]

Leoluca marries Antonia Cannella, daughter of Nicolo' Cannella and Liboria Palazzo, on 12 February 1816. Bernarda has died by this time, and Vincenzo is still living.

Leoluca dies, reportedly at age 70 (he is 62) on 6 March 1853. He is survived by his wife. This record calls his mother Vincenza.
