When quite young she came to Miami County, Ind., where she received a common education. One child was born to this marriage, Harry G., born April 18, 1876. Mr. Leffel came to Cass County in the year of 1833. He was an honorable and upright citizen, a man respected and admired for his many sterling qualities of both heart and mind, and his death, which occurred May 24, 1886, was a cause for great regret among his neighbors and friends. Since his death Mrs. Leffel has continued to reside on the homefarm, which is regarded as one of the best in the township. [1]
