Communication Preferences: I am interested in communicating private message with anyone who shares the same genealogical or historical interests. My family tree is private but I want to collaborate on deep ancestors or historical figures.
Began researching a few years back hoping to connect to Robert Lawrence of ca 1190. What a stretch. On my journey, I discovered hundreds of ancestors and as many stories., both good and not so good. I'm looking to collaborate with any researchers who love new discoveries of the Great Lawrence Family branches and twigs in our History.. or you just want to share your stories. I will share my findings hoping to weed out any of my own research errors, which I'm sure are a few. A Book is started on more recent discoveries I made of the Toombs of Prince Edward Island. There are a lot of gaps we are trying to fill, looking for your contributuions.

Hi Thomas

We are delighted to announce a new Profile Improvements Team namely the England Tangled Families Team which will be formed by merging the Arborists, Gedcoms and Unknown Teams,

As we know tangled families are created from old GEDCOM’s which cover many generations resulting in the need to merge profiles and having to disconnect others together with finding unknown spouses and family members.

The merging of the existing three teams into one exciting new team will hopefully reduce duplications and definitely will increase collaboration between you our experienced and dedicated members.

Team Leader for the England Tangled Families Team will be Fran Weidman who has agreed to manage the team bringing her excellent knowledge and experience from creating and managing the Unknowns Team together with Fran’s five year membership of the England Project.

Currently as a member of one or more of the named teams we are asking you to join our new amalgamated Tangled Families Team and letting us know by contacting Joan Williams or Malc Rowlands through Discord Messaging, England Project Google Group or Private WT Message if you want to join our new team.

Kind regards

Joan and Malc

Hi Thomas,

I wrote to you recently as part of the England Project's annual check-in with our project members. I haven't heard back from you. I hope you are well.

If you could please drop me a quick note to confirm whether you are still interested in the project and wish to remain an active member, that would be very helpful.

If we don't hear from you within the next 2 weeks, we will assume you are no longer active in the England Project and remove you from our list of project members. You would be most welcome to re-apply to join the project at a later time by signing-up on the project’s G2G welcome post.

Many thanks!

Thomas, you recently asked me to merge Rhoda Russell Lawrence. I descend from her daughter Nancy, who married Edward Oakes. I noticed that you descend from Daniel Lawrence, son of Rhoda's son Joseph. I believe Daniel married Elzia McLaughlin. Were you aware that Eliza was the niece of Benjamin McLaughlin, who married Asenath "Senah" Lawrence. Asenath was the sister of Joseph and Nancy Lawrence? Another sibling, Sally Lawrence married David Oakes, brother of my Edward Oakes (husband of Nancy Lawrence).

My wife and I have traveled to Maine a number of times doing ancestry research.

Hi, Thomas,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Welcome to WikiTree, Thomas!

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.
