RENÉ, the eldest has the same name as his father and grandfather of France. He was baptized 3 April 1657 in Château-Richer. "He spent his childhood in Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré and St-Joachim. In his youth, he is employed by the Seminary of Quebec; he probably got the job through his uncle Jacques Godin, a brother of his mother. "

On November 4 1683 in Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré, he married Marguerite Bouchard, daughter of Claude and Louise Gagné. "The couple goes to Petite-Rivière-St-François in 1684, there raises a dozen children and accumulate some wealth. One finds the Lavoie of that branch, in the South and in Eastern Quebec. "

Marguerite Bouchard died in Petite-Rivière on April 6, 1731 and René follows shortly after, on 8 December of the same year. For several years, René was captain of militia in Baie-St-Paul.

Birth was about 1657, the location undetermined, somewhere in Quebec according to PRDH. He died on 08 December 1731 at Baie-St-Paul and his marriage was on the 04 November 1683 at Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré (PRDH)
