Nancy "Ann" Latter was born in 1794, in Herring Cove, Halifax County, Nova Scotia to Henry Latter and Catherine McLean, and was baptised April 12th, 1794 at St. Paul's Church of England, Halifax.[1][2]
In 1820, Ann Latter of Halifax wrote a letter to the crown lands authorities on behalf of her father Henry Latter of Herring Cove, complaining of delays and lack of resolution to her father's petition. States father is now "infirmed" and relies on his two sons who he lives with. (Her letter was thought impertinent and was dismissed by the crown.)[3]
In 1822, Ann "Latters", spinster of Halifax, purchased 5 acres of property in the "Dutch Village" for 230 pounds.[4]
Ann married John Gebhard in 1828 in Halifax.[5] It's not known if they had any children together.
Ann died in 1837; her burial was recorded on February 22nd, 1837 at St. Mary's Basilica.[6]
