Giovanna Lampo, daughter of Pasquale Lampo and Biagia Paternostro, marries Calogero lo Bue, son of Giovanni lo Bue and Anna Marsala (from Prizzi), on 1 February 1916.[1] Calogero and Giovanna are second cousins, once removed.
Calogero and Giovanna have at least three children: Anna (c. 1920), named after her paternal grandmother, Giovanni, and Pasquale, named after their paternal and maternal grandfathers, respectively. Families in this region follow a strong naming tradition, and Calogero and Giovanna's children are named in accordance with that practice.
Don Calogero is the Mafia boss of Corleone from around 1930 until his death in 1953. He steps down from active leadership in 1945. He names Dr. Michele Navarra as his successor.
Anna marries Nicolo’ Pecoraro on 14 April 1945 in Corleone.[2]
Two of Don Calogero and Giovanna's sons, Giovanni and Pasquale, also join the Fratuzzi.[3]
Anna is named in Dino Paternostro's history of mafia resistance in Corleone as a daughter of Don Calogero, married to a 1961 Corleone city councilman, who is part of Dr. Navarra's cosca: Nicolo' Pecoraro. Pecoraro briefly serves as mayor.[4]
