Thank you for your fast action in merging the Cormack profiles. Much appreciated. I see your father was born in Bandung - mine also. Any advice or help with finding Indonesian sources would be most welcome!

Dear Ludwig,

Although I am not much on WT anymore I want to send you a big thank you, for all you did for WT. You are one of those that made WT big with your big GedCom you added, the days it was possible and that no one was ever able to source in a live time the way WT requested later. But you worked hard to get many of the profiles sourced and I think the Dutch Roots Project members, now the Netherlands Project helped you a little.

You added so many Dutch to WT and cared about them. THANK YOU! Look at the number of contributions and thank you's!!

Yes we know, many profiles were not sourced the way WT later wanted. But you are such a great sport, working on many of them trying to get the profiles sourced and always reacting fast to help.

Again Ludwig: THANK YOU!

Sweet regards from the country you know,

A.

Thank You for the feedback to my post I appreciate that

I am new at this and wanted to know how I can start my tree with my husband's name. I married a Wertz and I am related by marriage. There is a connection to a Wertz, Emerson Wertz How do I get hold of the person too to connect to his and my husband's tree.

Ludwig,I would like to introduce myself,Paul G.Dempster (Dreppenstedt). My maternal line is Houston's.My Mother's line (unbeknownst) to me then went off to Netherlands which again I never was were of untill recently on family search! That's where I found the split in surnames and countries. That is where I learned my 4th G.G.Grandfather Wm.Samuel Miller married Annache Van Keuren. Also on my mother's line I learned of Sarah Swart who married Benjamin Tjerck Van Keuren this then makes my 6th G.G.Grandparents.I was dubious of this so I called family search and was informed of citations and why they are needed.Ludwig I know this was long but at 82yrs.old I didn't know!
Thank you for such a speedy greeting! I'm very new to this. I do not know much about my family or heritage but want to find out. I look forward to my journey.

Would I be correct in saying that My Heritage and FamSearch have very different source document databases. My cousin has a well researched tree on My Heritage whilst my tree is on FamSearch with good source documents.

The challenge comes in when we get to the great great grandparent level. FamSearch has good source docs showing his identity, whilst on My Heritage those source docs are not there, taking the tree in a different direction.

What I want to try is put my cousins combination into Famsearch and Ancestry and see if any source docs come up.

I believe the source docs on FamSearch are a true record, so that's my idea of resolving the tree glitch in My Heritage. Hope that makes sense, would be good for the two trees to agree with each other, even if they are not perfect.

Just throwing my thoughts out there for any comments or ideas.

Hallo Ludwig,

We really need you this time! If you have time, please help.

WT is organizing weekly challenges this year under the name: “Year of Accuracy” We worked on many before but next week will be special.

If you like it or not, we need your help this week just to show what we as DRP are capable of - starting on Wednesday the 9th of June and it is during a week after, starts probably late for us Dutch (after midnight) - the challenge is to bring down brick walls for Dutch genealogist Yvette Hoitink.

She did great research on her family. This challenge is about showing we can do better!

We have, of course, already DRP members joining the challenge, but most participants are Americans. They will need help on translations, finding reliable sources, Dutch Naming Conventions (as we will dive into profiles before 1811 and probably need to use patronymics and never use Middle Names) and adding biographies. We are sure foreigners need help. And learn lots because of this challenge but they need some help from us.

Please, your help is much appreciated.

Help!

Eef, Bea en/and Astrid.

And after a great Clean-a-Thon you of course are very welcome to join our annual Bevrijdingsdag of Liberation Day Challenge 2021 that will be from 4 May 2021, (20.02 h) until 10 May2021(20.02 h) !

The G2G will be started around that time, but if you would like to join, you can already add your name to the participants list

Thank you Ludwig, I appreciate your letter and this is a very, Very LATE reply. I am drawn to Wiki as I am keen to view what each site offers as a way of connecting with family, and the stories of family. I am interested to attach the DNA of my parents, if that is possible, or should I draw up individual sites for my parents and attach only my DNA here?

Thank you Ludwig, I hope where ever you are, you are travelling well, Kind regards, Tim McCabe
