MARY KINNEY, born at Pomfret, 25 Nov 1772 daughter of Amos Kinne and Esther Utley;[1] Mary died at Coventry, 12 Jul 1855;[2] married at Pomfret, Connecticut, 30 Nov 1792,[3] ELIJAH PHILLIPS CLEVELAND, born at Pomfret, 6 Aug 1764 son of Jonas Cleaveland and Prudence Phillips;[4][5] Elijah died at Coventry, Vermont, 26 Feb 1845.[6][7]
Elijah served from Connecticut for the last three years of the Revolution and was discharged at West Point. He returned to Connecticut after the war and married Mary Kinne in November 1792. In January 1793, the family made its way to Hanover, New Hampshire.[8] The family was there about five years before moving on to Vermont.
In 1810, the household of Elijah P. Cleveland was five persons at Waterford, Vermont: one male 45 and over, one female 26 to 44, one male under 10, one male 10 to 15, and one female under 10.[9]

Elijah Phillips Cleveland and Mary Kinney were parents of three children.[10]
