Thomas Kingman was born in England, the son of Henry Kingman and his wife Joanna. Henry Kingman and his family were members of Reverand Hull's Company, arriving at Dorchester, MA on 7 June, 1635. The Kingman family lived at Weymouth.[1]
Thomas married Rebecca Unknown near or after 1664.[2] He was admitted a freeman 12 October, 1681, and was a large land owner in Weymouth. He was influential in the public affairs in Weymouth.[1]

Thomas made his will, which is undated. In it he gave his wife Rebecca Kingman the use of his homestead and three acres on "Kingman's neck," in Weymouth. To his eldest son Thomas Kingman, the "land where his stands purchased of the Widow Mary Rane" in Weymouth. To his son John Kingman, the "land with the buildings thereon in the upper Division in Weymouth purchased of Thomas Drake, Ephraim Burle and Zachariah Bicknell." To his son Henry Kingman, his homestead, provided he "maintain his brother William Kingman four years." Unto his three daughters, Hannah, Lydia and Sarah, "a pasture between Colonel Hunt's and Lieutenant Nash's land." To sons Thomas Kingman and Henry Kingman another lot on condition they "maintain his son William Kingman for five years after the four years are expired." To his grandchildren, five shillings apiece. His wife Rebecca to be executrix, his son Thomas to be executor. His friends Elder john Rodgers and Col. Ephraim Hunt overseers. Witnesses: Samuel King, John Vinson and Ephraim Hunt. Inventory taken 11 April 1705, administration granted 3 May, 1705.[1]

Thomas was a beneficiary and executor his father's will in 1667.
