Biography

Mitchell Kingman was born in 1779. He was the son of Mitchel Kingman and Keturah Latimer.^[1]

Mitchell dwelt, in his youth, at Canaan, Conn.; moved, in 1795, to Addison, Vermont, and then, in 1796, to Bridport, Vermont, where he married Sarah A. Crane, of Bridport. She died on Aug. 7, 1862, aged 71 years, 1 month, and 10 days.^[1] As of the US Census of 1850, they had the following children living with them:^[2]

1. Esther Kingman, daughter, aged 36, born in Vermont.
2. Elizah Kingman, son, aged 27, born in Vermont.
3. Eliza Kingman, daughter, aged 23, born in Vermont.

Mitchell died in Bridport, Vermont, on Sept. 6, 1863.^[1]
