Biography

Mary/Polly Kingman was born in 1757. She was the daughter of Matthew Kingman and Jane Packard.[1][2]

Mary married Charles Snell in 1778 [3][4]

Revolutionary War

Private Charles Snell, born in North Bridgewater, Massachusetts, on 2-4-1753 and died there 8-15-1813, is honored by the Daughters of the American Revolution: 1) CAPT HAYDEN,LEX.ALARM;ALSO CAPTS PACKARD 2) & SNELL,COL EDWARD MITCHELL. He married (1) Mary Kingman and 2) Rebecca Packard. [5]

Charles and Mary registered four children in Bridgewater:

  • Alven Snell, b. 8 Dec 1778)[6]
  • Matthew Snell, b. 21 Aug 1780)[7]
  • Cyrus Snell, b. 13 Aug 1787)[8]
  • Polly Snell, b. 22 Feb 1789)[9]

Death

Polly Kingman Snell passed away in 1797 and is buried in the Leach Cemetery in Brockton, Plymouth, Massachusetts.[10]
