Biography
Janet was a member of the Royal Society of Musicians of Great Britain
Janet King (abt.1843-1914) was a professor of music and member of the Royal Society of Musicians.
Janet was born in 1843, the daughter of Donald William King, professor of music, and his first wife Ann McMahon. According to records of the RSM, she was born on 3 Jan 1843 and christened on the 2 Mar 1843 with godparents Thomas & Sarah McMahon.
Janet became a member of the The Royal Society of Musicians of Great Britain on the 5 February 1872 as confirmed in the Society's book, “Members of The Royal Society of Musicians 1738-1984” on Page 86
