John Brownlow King was born in 1872 in London, London, his father, Donald, was 60 and his mother, Emma, was 39. John Brownlow King, son of Donald William King, professor of music, & his wife Emma, was baptised on 8 December 1872 in St George, Bloomsbury, Camden, England. At the time of his christening, the family was living at 48 Woburn Place.[1]
He married Isabel Blakiston Dakodate Porter on 6 August 1895 in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire. They had one child during their marriage. He died in 1960 in Auckland, Auckland, at the age of 88, and was buried there.
