Arthur was born on 12 February 1855 at 18 Frith Street, Soho, Middlesex, London.[1]

In the 1861 census, Arthur (age 6) was the brother of Agnes King at 18, Frith Street, St Anne Soho, Strand, London & Middlesex, England.[2]

In the 1871 census, Arthur (age 19) was the son of George King in Harwich, St Nicholas, Essex, England.[3]

In the 1881 census, Arthur (age 24) was the unmarried son of George King at 15, Gt Coram Street, St Giles in the Fields and St George Bloomsbury, St Giles, London & Middlesex, England.[4]

Arthur (age 33), son of George King, married Harriette Metcalfe on 7 June 1888 in Saint Luke, South Kensington: Redcliffe Gardens, Kensington and Chelsea, England.[5]
