Biography

Alfred King is a part of US Black heritage.

Alfred was born about 1841 in Tennessee, USA.

He married Mary Coleman ^[1] or Mary Lewis ^[2] or Mary Coffman ^[3] --- all three maiden names given on records by the same son, Schuyler Colfax King.

Alfred died aged about 61 years old on January 1, 1903 in Lawton, Antwerp Township, Van Buren County, Michigan. His father's name was given as Isaac King. Burial took place on January 4th in Oak Grove Cemetery.^[4][5]
