Henry King was born 16 Dec 1808 and died on 31 Jul 1884 in Brown County, Indiana. He was most likely born in East Tennessee to Daniel and Aberilla King. Henry married 3 times. 1st to Elizabeth VanArsdel on 04 Jul 1831 in Bartholomew, Indiana. They have 4 children: Emmeline, Aberilla, James and John. 2nd to Malinda Hubbare on 05 Dec 1839 in Jackson, Indiana. They have 4 children: Mary, Isaac, Simeon, and Susanna 3rd to Rosamond Joslyn on 29 Jul 1845. They have 9 children: Nancy, Alfred, Lucinda, Sarah, Henry, Isreal, Catherine, Amanda and Amos. Henry passed away in 1884. Burial in Taggart Cemetery, Brown County, Indiana.

Henry's daughter Amanda Reeves died on 15 April 1922 in Battle Creek, Calhoun, Michigan, United States.[7]

Obituary: KING, HENRY P.V. Columbus merchant and farmer Sec 15, Son of Daniel and Aberilla King, was born in East Tennessee Dec 16, 1808, settled in Columbus Twp 1829. Married July 4, 1830 Elizabeth Vanarsdol, in Sept 1840, married Malinda Hubbard, 3rd married to Rosamond Joslyn July 29, 1845. Children by first wife Emmiline: Aberilla, James W, and John W. by second wife: Mary J, Isaac W., Simeon W., Susanna by 3rd wife : Nancy, Alfred P., Lucinda; Sarah E; Henry A, Israel A., Catherine R., Amanda and Amos. The Parents of Mr. King were natives of N. Carolina and South Carolina resectively. Moved to Tenn. where he was born as stated above. About 1812 his father moved to Kentucky and later, to Illinois where he took part in subduing the redman, returned to Kentucky and March 30 1849 (?) settled in the state of Indiana. Mr. Henry King has experienced all the trials and hardships incident to pioneer life there being but twelve men in the county when he came here. A fire which consumed his dwelling, destroyed the records so a true history of his parents cannot be written. He and all his family are members of the United Brethern
