In Memoriam.
Mrs. Jane Williams, wife of Mr. Edward Williams of this city, of whom we spoke as being very ill, two weeks ago, died at her residence on Highstreet last Friday morning, after a long and lingering illness. She was quite an aged lady and was a native, we believe, of Virginia. Though rather reserved and retiring in her disposition, she had many warm friends who held her in the highest estimation. Saturday afternoon, her funeral took place at the Methodist church, the Rev. C.C. Woods conduction the services, assisted by Revs. G. W. Rogers and B. H.Charles. Quite a large number of friends and relatives of the deceased were present. After services at the church, the body was borne to Walnut Grove Emebery, and laid to rest. Mrs. Williams leaves an aged husband and a number of grown children. To them we extend our sympathy,in this their time of bereavement.
