Note
William was a member of the Merchant Marines and the captain of various coastal and Narragansett Bay vessels. For many years he was a tugboat captain out of Newport RI. He was also a fisherman and worked for the Jamestown/Newport ferry company in later years. He was a veteran of WWI. He died at the Brighton Marine Hospital in Brighton Mass. although living in Jamestown RI at the time of his illness.
