Leland "Lee" King was born on October 12, 1889 in West Union, Todd, Minnesota. He was the son of Byron King and Eliza Judd. He was brought up in West Union with his twin siblings, Ethelyn and Elwin. [1][2]
Leland registered for the United States World War I military draft in Ramsey, North Dakota on June 5, 1917. He was married with a 1 1/2 year old child (wife and child unknown). He listed his occupation as a "Traveling Man" for the Hudson Company.[3]
Leland married Frances Van Horrick in 1926. In 1930, they lived in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota. Leland was a salesman of farm implements. [4] They had a son, Roger, later that year. In 1940, they lived in Melrose, Stearns, Minnesota, where he was a hardware wholesaler. [5]
Leland died on April 19, 1941 in Melrose, Stearns, Minnesota. [6][7][8] He was buried in the family plot in Silver Creek Cemetery, West Union Township, Todd, Minnesota. [9]
