Obituaries
Elsie Louise King Scaff
Jasper -- Elsie Louise King Scaff, 92, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at Suwanne Valley Nursing Center. She was born in Hamilton County on April 11, 1912 to the late Paul and Birta Smith King. She was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church near Jennings.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stafford L. Scaff, Sr.
Survivors include three sons, Lester Scaff and his wife, Anne, Richard Scaff and his wife, Rena Vee, all of Lake City, and Gary Scaff and his wife, Teresa of Hosford; a daughter, Marie Goolby and her husband, David Sr. of Jasper; one brother, Arthur Paul King and his wife, Emma of Jennings; one sister, Helen Selph of Jennings; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
Services were held Friday, June 25, 2004 at New Hope Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
