Biography
J. D. King was an Arkansan.
John Daniel King was born on 18 July 1916 in Baxter County, Arkansas, United States, son of Dan King (1876 - 1956) and May (Arnold) King (1896 - 1989).
He married Roe Clinton Matthews. They had two children.
He served as the sheriff of Baxter County for awhile. Then he and his wife became owner/operators of a lumber company in Searcy in White County. They ran it for 33 years.
J.D. died on 14 February 2002 in White County, Arkansas when he was 85. He is buried in White County Memorial Gardens, Searcy, Arkansas.[1]
