Biography

Minnie Pearl Killmer, daughter of Henry Jasper Killmer and Bertha Lizzie Coles, was born on 20 May 1915 in Crowley, Acadia Parish, Louisiana, United States.^[1] She was enumerated with her parents during the 1920 census, living at Avenue X in Crowley.^[2] In 1930 hey lived at 1023 Avenue F, where she attended school.^[3]

She married Brad J. DuBose on 3 June 1939 in Marksville, Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.^[4] They had six children.^[5]

Minnie and Brad were enumerated together during the 1940 census in Crowley, where he worked as a bookkeeper for a rice mill and she worked as a stenographer for an auditing company.^[6] By 1950 they had relocated to Lafayette.^[7]

She married second Ed Shamblin before 12 January 1996.^[1][8]

At the time of her sister Margaret's death in 2004, Minnie Shamblin lived in Crowley.^[9]

Minnie died at age 91 on 11 February 2007, at Southwind Assisted Living in Crowley. She was buried three days later at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Lafayette.^[8][1]
