It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Acadia Project and as we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.
We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. If this is the case for you, please let us know.
If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.
Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.
On behalf of the Acadians Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members. Please let us know if you are still active. If you are active, please let us know in which ways you are currently contributing to the project.
All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.
Hi Debbi, I'm sorry to hear you had a problem when you merged the duplicate profiles. Because the privacy levels for the profiles are 'private' I can't see what happened, so I've asked the WikiTree Team to help you. Kay
Welcome to the Wikitree family. Your "DNA Tested" badge indicates that you have taken a DNA test and that you probably have an interest in using your DNA results to uncover more about your family connections. We want to help you do that and have developed a few simple beginning steps for getting the most from your DNA test results.
1.) On your Wikitree profile enter your DNA test kit information if you have not already done so. To do this. click on the ."Add" tab select "DNA Test Information" and follow the instructions for entering your test(s).
2.) With autosomal tests also enter your optional Gedmatch ID if you have one. In the case of YDNA enter your optional YSearch ID or with mtDNA, your mitosearch ID if you have them. You can also enter Haplogroup information.
3.) Be certain the privacy settings on your Wikitree profile permit the sharing of your DNA and family tree with other potential genetic matches. Click the "Privacy" tab and set your level to " Private. with public tree" or "Private, with public tree and bio". Fot more information on privacy settings see, Wikitree privacy controls
4.) Build and expand your family tree.
There is a help section in Wikitree that will answer most questions you may have regarding DNA and its use on Wikitree. You can also ask specific questions in the G2G forum's. Good luck and happy searching
Feel very welcome to WikiTree! I hope you will like it here as much as I do!
The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site youve ever used. WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team! Feel free to explore WikiTree, and we hope you will help us to grow our BIG tree!
When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests at the tags (green boxes). Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and youll be on your way!
Welcome to the family! Were really glad youre here!
