THE LATE HENRY KENDALL'S PARENTS
In answer to an inquiry - The Sydney Mail of Saturday last says "Mr Kendall's father was named Basil Kendall. He was the son of a New Zealand Missionary, a seaman in early life, but afterwards a farmer at Ulladulla, His mother was a Miss Melinda McNally, a grand-daughter of Leonard .McNally, once a well-known Irish wit, and the companion of Burke, Sheridan, Goldsmith, and others.
Basil married Melinda McNally in Sydney N.S.W. on the 1st of August 1835 [2] and had 6 children.
He passed away on the 23rd of Sep, 1852 of consumption in South Grafton, New South Wales, Australia. [3]
