Biography

Helga Karlsdatter was born at Lindeland on 26 Nov 1883 and was baptized at Sirdal on 16 Dec 1883.^[1] She grew up at Lindeland.^[2] Helga married Abel Assersen on 15 Feb 1906 at Lund.^[3] Helga and Abel emigrated to the United States around 1908, settling in Crawford County, Wisconsin near relatives that had come to America previously.^{[4][5][6][7][8]} Helga died in Gays Mills on 14 Apr 1972 and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery.^[9]
